Overview of Rubber Flange Expansion Joint

Rubber flange expansion joint is a flexible connector fabricated of nature or synthetic elastomer, steel ring and fabric. When necessary, metallic reinforcement will be used to provide stress relief in piping systems. It can resist the thermal and mechanical vibration and/or movements. Movement always happens in the piping systems due to varying ambient temperatures, temperature difference when handle materials, and different composition of the joints. Expansion joints can absorb this movement, eliminate the danger of buckling, and reduce the high replacement costs that would result.

Description

ZHW series MD601 is the most economical full-pressure elastomeric expansion joint. It is the standard moulded rubber flange expansion joints. As a standard, MD601 consists of high quality rubber body and floating flanges in zinc plated carbon steel. It allows for axial compression/extension, lateral deflection as well as angular movement. A variety of elastomers are available for cover and tube, offering superior resistance of chemical, aging and operating temperature from -30° to +250°F*.
